The fuel injectors are also noisy as hell on these trucks to but if its your phazers it will sound like a diesel truck

and if it is the phazers its a easy job around 4 hours both sides with right tools

Thanks guys for letting me know. I didnt know all the details about it but i knew they had the issues. Mine threw one a couple years ago and i had to helicoil it.

tsb recall for cam phaser

I have a 06 Eb that ticks so I called my closest dealer and the service guy knew nada. Is there a way to verify online? is there a link? thanks

Cam Phaser Tick

I have a 2007 Expedition with the Cam Phaser tick. Just for the heck of it I put 2 bottles off CD2 engine oil treatment. The noise went away after a few weeks. I had the oil changed and added another bottle. It has been 2 months since and the tick is gone. I can't say this will work with every phaser tick but it worked for me. Even my friend at the Ford dealer was surprised it worked. It couldn't hurt to try. GOOD LUCK.
