Unplug the door chime, then you can lock your keys in it, leave the headlights on etc......

Where do unplug the door chime? Take off door panel to get to it?

Why not take the keys out? Last thing I ever want to do is lock my keys in the truck, I never leave them in the ignition unless I am starting it in the next minute or so and that chime has saved my butt on occasion.

That being said, the thread posted above seems a good route to try.

For those of us lucky enough to live in redneckville, keys usually stay in the truck. Can't tell you how many times I have gone to the store and seen trucks parked in the parking lot with keys in the ignition...
I actually locked my Expy the other day! Took me a minute to remember how to unlock the damn thing afterwards... LOL
