Identify button on dash?

Is that a maintained button or momentary button? If there's nothing audible or visual (at night as suggested) that can be detected then prepare to trace wires if you're curious enough. Since 'ejector seat' and 'plaid mode' were taken I'll suggest aftermarket lighting (light bar?) that may have been removed.

It's momentary, just pushes in and pops out, no clicks that would indicate something is engaged or released. I purchased used, and the CARFAX indicated government use, possibly law enforcement, so I like your suggestion about add-on lighting. There are some holes drilled in the plastic cladding near the third row that could have been "police lights" I guess. There's also several holes on the passenger side of the center console that could have been a mounting location for radio(s).
