We actually just picked up the truck in October. Haven't really had the time to play around with stuff until recently. I first noticed it a couple of weeks ago, but I would guess it was probably that way when I got it. My wife just grabbed the truck for some Xmas shopping, so I am sure I probably won't see it again today

Thanks!

Wiring diagrams shouldn't be a problem, I might not recognize all the symbols they use but I am ok with the basics.

Thank you for your help!

Lets see what you find when she brings the expy back
The prints I have are from the 07 service manual but looking at the fuse blocks for the 08 they are the same as the 07 so the prints should be the same
Ford changed things in 09 so the prints I have for the 09 would be different

Ok everything seems to check out. I disconnected the battery for a bit today and when I popped it back on the mirrors seems to work. If I press the one or two on the side of the seat, the mirrors and seats will move to the correct position. If I jump in and stick the key in the ignition, only the seats move NOT the mirrors. Should the mirrors also adjust when using the key or remote or does one always need to push the button on the seat?

Thanks!

if you set the mirrors, seats and pedals for one position and then set all three differently for the 2nd position they should all move to the position you set them for But if all you did was set them for the first position and then only moved the seat for the second position then only the seat will move to the new set position

My 01 can be set for 3 memory position but all 3 of my remotes are programed the same as I am the only driver so if I grab any of my keys and fob's nothing will change

What is the correct method of programming? I did it like this:

Jumped in, turned key on.
moved mirrors and seats to correct position
press the set button, and then number one.

How does the remote come into the picture though? When I push unlock on my remote, it should move to my settings correct?

Thanks!

Memory seats/power mirrors/adjustable pedals (if equipped)
This system allows automatic
positioning of the driver seat, power
mirrors, and adjustable pedals to
two programmable positions.
The memory seat control is located
on the outboard side of the seat
cushion.
• To program position 1, move the
driver seat, mirrors and pedals (if
equipped) to the desired position
using the associated controls. Press the SET control. Within 5 seconds
of pressing the SET control, press control 1.
• To program position 2, repeat the previous procedure using control 2.
A position can be recalled:
• in any gearshift position if the ignition is not in the RUN position.
• only in P (Park) or N (Neutral) if the ignition is in the RUN position.
A memory seat position may be programmed at any time.
The memory positions are also recalled when you press your remote
entry transmitter UNLOCK control (if the transmitter is programmed to
a memory position) or, when you enter a valid personal entry code that
is programmed to a memory position.
To program the memory feature to a remote entry transmitter and for
more information on how to use the keypad, refer to Remote entry
system in the Locks and Security chapter.

The remote entry system can also control the memory feature.
