2007 Expedition EL Limited sitting at a local dealer for $17,999. The truck is in mint condition,no rust,no paint chips, my mechanic said it was extremely clean and "dont let this get away". Has 107,000 miles, every option offered including the conv package, clean car fax,1 owner and maintenance shows on the car fax as dealer maintained all of its life. what is it worth? I want to talk him down but not really sure how low or at what point i should give in. Thoughts please

Paid 19.9k for my stnd limited last year with 55k miles. I've seen 100k kr and lims (including el) go for closer to 15k and this is in slightly more xpensive southern cali.

Have you checked Edmunds true value? I used that to get a price point to haggle more for my trade in and got the dealer to drop the price $1k. Cali has crappy trade in laws so check yours if you have one.

The only options I didn't have were 4x4, sat nav, and a moon/sun roof. I have pretty much all options including 9k lb tow package, dvd, leather, power rear, memory seats, liftgate, 20" wheels, etc.

Aim for 15-16k but don't take over 17k even imho. Good luck!

I checked KBB.com,Edmunds and NADAguide and all say its worth 19K with the options it has but i feel better hearing it from a person. I said 15k (upset him a little)and he said 17k so gonna shoot for 15,5-16 and hope for the best.

NADA is pretty much the industry standard right now. Virtually all of the lenders and insurance companies use that in order to establish value. Aim for somewhere between the clean trade-in and retail value. The closer you can get to clean trade-in, the better.

FWIW, I looked at a couple '08s (Ltd, 4WD) in northeastern NJ back in May and they were asking $17-18K. Both were smoker vehicles with a ton of minor damage and paint peeling everywhere.

every option offered including the conv package,

Just to recap, the following were optional on a 2007 EL Limited:

  1. 600A -- 4 wheel drive
  2. T21 -- 20" chrome clad aluminum wheels
  3. 58F -- Navigation Radio
  4. 62S -- Sirius satellite radio tuner
  5. 51R -- Rubber All-Season floor mats
  6. 21B -- 2nd row Captain's Chairs
  7. 91V -- Rear-Seat DVD Entertainment Center
  8. 68L -- Rear Air Suspension / Load Leveling
  9. 60C -- Chrome Luggage Rack / Black Crossbars
  10. 43D -- Daytime Running Lamps
  11. 43M -- Power Moonroof
  12. 61P -- Power Liftgate
  13. 153 -- Front License Plate bracket
  14. 41K -- Skid Plates on 4X4 models
  15. 536 -- Heavy Duty Trailer Tow package
  16. 50C -- Convenience Group (power pedals, power rear 1/4 windows, garage door opener, reverse sensing system)

I'll note that the chrome luggage rack was listed both as standard and optional for a Limited.

If it were fleet ordered, then the following options were available:
  1. 41H -- Engine Block Heater
  2. 41K -- Skid Plates (regardless 2wd or 4wd)

If it has most of this optional equipment, I'd say its a bargain at $17.9, however I've yet to see a "mint" 2007 anything with over 100K. My garage kept 2008 only has 30K miles and I'd call it "very clean". Has this always been a Mass truck? Asking because it seems unusual for it to not have rust in the coastal upper NE.

Out my way, negotiations on this truck would start around $23,999, so I'd say you are getting a very fair deal. Enjoy.

it has 13 of the 16 options you listed and its completely rust free. This was a Massachusetts car its whole life and is spotless. it was bought in 2007 at framingham ford/lincoln and was serviced there 5/25/07 to 6/5/15 and everything is listed in the carfax. The owner was from sudbury,ma and i believe that's a rich town so maybe that contributed to it being spotless. I was able to negotiate to $16,500 and paying cash money so im pretty happy. should have it tuesday
