I'm new to the forums. I own a 1998 Expedition. The interior lights do not come on when the doors are opened, neither do the running board lights work. The fuse is good. The bulbs are good atleast for the overhead one's, they work when pushed on. Has anyone had a similar problem?

also check fuse #15 Its for the gem module but also part of the interior light circuits. Check to see if the interior lamp relay is installed and the Battery saver relay Both of them are in the circuit

Again use a meter to check fuses

They should be the two at the top of the inside fuse block

Do you have the owners manual if not you can download a copy at

The owners manual doesn't describe the relays as far as I can tell. The diagram shows two small ones at the top. I only have one of them.

If the top relay is missing that is the interior lamp relay Replace it and let me know the results

All 5 relays should be present

I just received the relay and installed it. For some reason when the driver side front door is open the interior lights flash like hazard lights. When any other door is open they just stay lit like they should be. Has anyone had a similar problem?
