Painting the housing of your headlights?

hey everyone i was thinking about different mods in which to do to my expo and i saw the new corvette on the road. the housing are painted to match the exterior color of the car and i was wondering if anyone has done this to they're own car. i have the forest green expedtion 2001 with the tan two tone and i thought it would look good to paint the housing to match. i have the lightning style front headlights. has anyone ever done this or have seen it done? any pics maybe. thanks

I know they do it a lot to the current style F150's, so the headlights end up looking like Harley lights (in other words, a black housing.)

The only thing that could be a problem would be making sure the color matched perfectly. I think it would look weird if it were off.
