Power Distribution Relay Box?

Hi jseales, I have a 97 expy 4x4 4.6 engine xlt and yes i have that same relay box & cant find out what it is for, did you ever find out ,help would be great. Thanks Larry

hi, I have a 97 expy xlt 4.6 4x4 ,and a friend of mine has a 2003 edie expy with the same relay box and nither one of us can find out what its for,its not evan in his handbook etc.

Post #14 in this thread explains why you can't find documentation for your 1997 relay box - there isn't any. With no specified order, I guess the only way to know for sure is with a meter and an assistant, tracing each relay to its component.

I have the same 1997 Eddie with tow package 4wd and no air suspension. I have the same relay box as you do next to the power network box and it is not shown in owners manual. The maual shows a mini fuse block next to the power network box. See pic. My question is where is the mini fuse box ? I have parasitic drain and i think it comes from slot 3 (audio rear integrated control) or slot 5 (amplifier).

When I pull fuse #6 in Power Network Box the ampre draw drops. #6 is engine mini fuse #3 and #5. But where in the Engine Mini Fuse Box shown in manual? Thanks!

From what I've read in this thread and elsewhere, Ford did not produce documentation for any of the 1997 mini fuse boxes.
