I had no trouble finding rubber for 16's. Plus like you said.... way more sidewall. Nice to see the ***** troll never came back.

Hahaaaaahaaaaaa, I know, really!! Let's just build a truck & have some fun.

if you want a lot cheaper tires and you dont mind some slightly used race tires you can get them for like $100 a tire off racedezert.com or even pirate4x4. but i do like 16s. they look better and have more rubber. but still you can find rubber for it, just not as easily as with 17s. and if you do upgrade and decide on bead locks or some other aftermarket wheel i would say get 17s. most bead locks dont even come in 16s. 15,17,20,22. but the 20 and 22 are for 40s+. haha

Yeah, race dezert is a good place, never been to pirate before. 17's would be a good choice for larger disc brake calipers as well.

BTW, what does Ford call my 4-Link look-a-Like suspension in the rear? It really looks like Giants "Daily driver link" only shorter. Go to their website and check it out. I think that's what I'm going to do in the rear. H&M in Front or Dixon Bros.

Give me your opinions on spare tire mount! Swing away or something tied into a custom roof rack. I'm getting some free KC's from my buddy so we might do a light bar/roof rack then tie a spare tire carrier and floor jack on it. I don't want to lose my third row seat for a tire & Jack. Decisions decisions.....

Thanks guys for the support. I love my truck!

as for the front end. if you want it now i would go H&m. dixon bros is hard to reach right now. they are backed up for months on projects. they cant make their products fast enough. as for the rear. if you want it done right you need to put coil over threw the floor and tub them. you will lose the 3rd row, but it will also allow the dust to not come in and you can still have plenty of room for spares or tools or jacks and what not. and if you dont want a light bar right now just put the lights on the roof. a few guys, including my self, have it. i like the look.

Wow! 500 bananas!! Plus the bumper is already built. We were thinking of incorporating a light bar/roof rack then tie in some tubing down to the rear bumper. Or a swing away but those are spendy as well.

Yeah the H&M kit is clean & killer. I like the billet uppers. For the Rear, the tubs would have to be cut out, shock hoops made then enclosed (lose the the third seat) then have the Giant kit installed. I swear it's the same as my set-up only longer. Giant Motorsports - Offroad Race Truck Suspension Specialists | Daily Driver Link Kit | giantmotorsports.com | Link, Bed, Cage, Daily mine is the same only shorter

Looks great. Too bad that raptor front wouldn't fit.

Did you see the pic with the raptor front end on it? Superwide!

i love the kit. my buddy has the 2wd kit on his truck. and the uppers will never break because they are billet. and our rear ends are parallel 4 link with pan hard bar. 5 link rear end. works great and super flexy. and yeah the raptor front is wide, but i like it.
(same friend with the h&m kit)

When I had McNeil Racing install the front clip they were also in the process of designing the raptor front end. I was all about that, but it was enormous! I'll try to track down a picture. So we went with the F-150 clip but they had several types of inserts or grills (I believe that's what your referring to) initially, Since the Raptor front end did not fit they were going to use a grill that had the ford oval located front & center. Wow, I'm dragging this on! Anyway, I believe it's a hybrid grill they designed to fit the smaller front clip. I did tell them that I liked FORD spelled out instead do the oval. It might have been one of their first ones designed because they asked me to send them some pictures of the Expy so they could show some potential customers. Sorry for being long winded.

when my buddy went down there he saw your truck. texted me back saying he saw a lifted expedition with his raptor clip on it then a few days later he went back down and the new f150 clip was put on. he said it looked a lot better than the raptor clip just because of the size of the clip wasnt flowing very well with the size of the expy.

Just bought a Jet Throttle Body Spacer from Jet. I'll be picking it up tomorrow. We'll see how it woks. I'll update pics of the truck. I installed a bumper a few months back. Next is a H&M long travel kit up front

Just installed the throttle body spacer. Took about 45 minutes. Pretty straight forward install. We'll see if there are any improvements. Maybe a Mass Air Sensor next?
