Hello,

I am contemplating starting the hunt for a set of vents form an 06 Expedition, to swap mine out with. I would doubt the function is any different, but I like the newer style ones better.

Does anyone know how the existing vents come off? I know the ones on the bezel will be easy, as I can pull that out and see whats holding them in.. What about the ones by the airbag. Are there just clips on the back?

03-04 (or 05?) vents:

For the ones on the darker part of the dash (driver side), I would just take that part of the dash off. It's only two screws and there's a few tutorials on here. That way, you can get a better look at how they are attached before attempting the passenger side ones.

I believe they are held in by clips like the driver side

Thanks for the responses! This far, the few sellers who did get back to me (emailed eBay sellers who had parts listed) want $100-$130 for the 4 vents... I think I'll stick with the old style for that kind of money...
