Rims and Tires

Hey, I have a 98 expedition with stock 16 inch wheels and p255/70R16 109s tires. What is the biggest rim and tire size I can go with out needing to install a lift kit? I'm looking for more of an off road look, without the expenses of lifting it.

I slung 315/16 underneath mine. Only get minor rub if you are at Max turn on a slope. But on smooth and level ground, I have no rub issues.

Be aware tgough, MPG, braking ability, both go down.

And road/tire noise goes way up.
