Afternoon,

I am in the process of swapping over my rear hub assembly due to bearing failure but am having issues separating the assembly from the trailing arm. What is the best method, I've done a search and from the video's everyone else's seems to just fall off...

Thanks

You need to get a heavy slide hammer and attach a puller
setup that looks like a flywheel puller with three fingers that you bolt to three of your lug studs. You can rent the whole setup at AutoZone free by leaving a credit card deposit if you have that store by you. I replaced both
sides on my '05. They didn't come off easy. Heat was
needed and on one side I slapped away on that slide hammer for over half an hour before it broke free. You don't need to separate anything from the
trailing arms. They're not involved in the process.
The problem is that the hubs rust weld themselves to the carrier over time, so make sure you wire wheel the crap
out of the surface before you install the new hubs. I
sprayed anti - seize on the surfaces before I locktited and torqued the bolts down.
