I am changing my idler pulley and belt tensoner and belt. Everything but the belt are orginal I have 180000 miles on my 2000 EB 4X4 with a 5.4. Should I go ahead and change the water pump while I am pretty much there anyway?

Personally I would. It's 4 bolts to get it off.

You can change it now or you will change it later.......better to do it at your convenience than when it fails.

I'm doing a power steering pump this weekend and was considering adding an idler, tensioner and new belt to the list. If it's that easy to swap while I'm in there I will do the water pump too. Thanks for the tip!
