I bet its just software based tuning. tweak the max boost up a bit, advance the ignition a bit, both those changes require premium fuel, and boom, 10% more horses is easy....
There are tuning differences but he’s correct hardware is different as well. The HO also runs a lower compression ratio to go with larger turbos and intercooler fans. Pistons I believe have a different shape compared to the normal 3.5 but I’m not certain on this.

The Max has the same wheelbase, it just has a longer body, about 9" longer entirely in the back..
They do not have the same wheelbase, the max wheelbase is 9in longer, that's where the length went

I would special orger what you want. Probably cheaper and you end up with the exact truck you want. You just have to be willing to wait a couple of months.

The 304a is the high output ecoboost. It's roughly 40 hp more and similar in tq vs the non HO ecoboost. Exact numbers I can't recall but gives you the idea. This is rated on 91 octane from what I remember.

Believe main difference is ever so slightly different turbos, minor internals and tune.

I thought that 'high output' was a Platinum thing, thats Equipment Group 600A ... 300 packages are Limited (and 200 are XLT), the Stealth option is 303A, at least in the 2019 catalog I don't see any 304A package. Nor do I in the 2021 catalog.

That may help you with the specs.

It is the motor pulled straight out of the V6 Raptor. It is not just some "software tweak".

They changed to the HO 3.5 in the 2022 refresh. The information you are reading doesn't relate to the model years 2022+.
Previous years the higher powered EB on the platinum trim was not a HO 3.5.
