Starts then turns off

2000 Ford Expedition 5.4 2wheel drive. Exp starts then shuts down, press the gas pedal a little bit stays on. Was told it might be the air control or something like that. Any help thanks in advance.

Have a mechanic check the fuel pressure first. It could be a weak fuel pump or a clogged fuel filter.

A mechanic came to my house and took the exp to his shop. Before he left he told me it was Idle Air Control Valve. In less then an hour he got it fixed with new part that cost $47.00 now it is working great.
