Maybe it's just the Contitrac SUV line. Sucky traction when wet and dry. All on highway, BTW. I don't really offroad.

On a related topic...

The family took a trip to ID and back this weekend (~ 500 miles each way). On the way over we got about 15.7 MPG with the mountains and such with a mild tail wind.

Got the beast aligned in ID which required a 'cam kit' on the rear. The BFG tires had extra wear on the outside edges is why I did it.

We then averaged about 17.2 on the return trip!!! That is with a head wind most of the time. The steering has a lighter feel too!

Yup! +1.5MPG by getting an alignment.

I guess it reinforces the point that regular maintenance including alignment is good for the ol' MPG.

BTW green03 your pm is full again. I want to chip the beast next.
