Tow hitch removal?

Wondering if the tow hitch on an 07 can be easily removed? Any idea how much that piece weighs?....thx

Mine is welded. The weight savings seem to me to be trivial. The Expy is over 5000+ pounds, plus your load (luggage, people, etc.) and the whole frame hitch receiver and support bars probably weigh 50 - 100 pounds. IMHO, removing that will not make any difference on your gas mileage.

And it trashes your Expy when you go to sell it in the future.
