A transmission should always be considered as a core if you buy it without being able to test drive it before it's removed from the vehicle. The only exception is if it comes from a rebuilder with warranty. I'd even say the same about engines....

Its better you didnt get it. It will bolt up. But the output shaft is longer and a smaller diameter on the 2wd models. You have to remove all the internals to get to the output shaft. It would be a good time to look at all the clutch packs and internal seals. But not a fun job to do. Everything else is the same, and as its been said before the shift points are set by the computer. The bell housing bolts up to all mod motors. 4.6l and 5.4 l.
