what's the difference between 2010 and 2012 front springs

So some companies such as McGaughys sells lowering kits for Expeditions up to 2010. What's the difference in springs and such from a 2010 and a 2012?

So some companies such as McGaughys sells lowering kits for Expeditions up to 2010. What's the difference in springs and such from a 2010 and a 2012?

The bolts that hold the strut in the lower control arm changed. 2010s have a single bolt that runs horizontally through an attachment point on top of the LCA whereas the 2012s and up have two bolts that run vertically through the LCA and secure underneath it

Ran into this issue putting readylift 3/2 on my 16. Instructions were for model years up to 2012. Had to figure it out on my own how to remove the strut bolts to get the spring and everything out to attach spacers
