Hello everyone.

I have a 1998 Expedtion that does not have an overhead console, just cloth headliner.

Someone locally is selling a grey overhead console that reads mpg, temp, etc = $30.

The obvious questions are about mounting this and wiring it so it is functional.

Can anyone speak to if this is possible, and what steps woud be required, if the wiring harness for this might be hidden under the dash etc?

Thanks in advance!

OK, so can visualize running some wiring down to to side rails and in to the dash . . .

I'll search for overhead wiring etc, but if it isn't much plug and play I wouldn't know where to connecting anything to.

I think installing the explorer OHC in the ranger is different. I have a ranger, and was thinking about doing the install, but decided not too. Anyways, i think it's a little less complicated.

I'm sure it's possible to install one in the Expie. Just with a little more headache.

Good luck if you do the install, OP.

Damn, an expedition OHC in a ranger? Was it the smaller one? The full length one must run the entire length of the roof...
