Sorry guys, but I've got to rant!
We got our first snow in Southwest Iowa last night - and it's still frickin snowing. I hate snow! I am amazed every year at how many people forget how to drive in the white stuff. I have been lucky the past few years, and have managed to avoid the idiots.
I wasn't so lucky this morning. A guy comes barrelling through a stop sign and smacks me dead center on the passenger side B pillar. It crunched both doors, the rocker, the B pillar, and the rear quarter.
You don't get much sympathy from me when you claim "I couldn't stop because of the snow." Maybe you wouldn't have slid into the intersection if you hadn't been driving so damn fast! Anyway, no citations from the friendly local officer, due to the road conditions.
Now I get the fun of dealing with the whole insurance and body shop circus. Yea! It just makes me wonder why I spend so much time taking care of my vehicles. She's no show truck, but my 1999 XLT (A4WD 5.4) was pristine. And that's with 150,000 trouble free miles!
I'm done with my rant for now. Thanks for listening.
