Has anyone seen a power lift gate kit?
Seems like a reasonable feature to retro fit.

I've had the thought in the back of my head wondering if the harnessing was already there for the factory liftgate since I found a trailer brake harness in the dash of my non-tow package truck.

When did the power gates appear on the 3rd Gens? If it was during the run, there might or might not have the wiring there

Well... from what I've seen... even 2nd gens have them. I believe the 3rd gens were offered from the beginning of the run with them in the 07 MY.

And I believe that the harness in the dash that plugs into the dash button should work as well because that whole button assembly is a circuit board. I tried to take it apart once to see if I could flush-mount my bluetooth mic into the empty slot where the power liftgate button would be.

the wiring is not there on the rear harness at least on 07s and 08s I looked. it may be wired in the harness up to the rear harness. just like the power fold 3rd row seats I added to my 07. the wires were there up to the C posts but not in the rear harness and you would have to change the fuse box because that is programed in to that as well as the power 3rd row seats.

Thanks for sharing. Was hoping it would be a more simple option but even at this point, the parts are probably far more than I'm willing to spend just so I can save 2 seconds of work.
