Is there any specific reason to remove the whole CV axle when installing a spacer lift? There seems to be a discrepancy between installation manuals for different lifts, some including instructions to do so, some not:
The ReadyLIFT 3" front lift does:
The Rough Country 2" front lift does not:
Is this something that is done to protect something from possible damage? Or is this an unnecessary step for something like this? Has anyone done one of these in their garage that can shed some light?
