I read up on the materials list and decided to look at my air filter box since it didn't look quite the same. Google helped in finding someone that modified a newer Expedition by removing a "snorkel" from the air filter box.
I started the process and found out my radiator overflow bucket is a part of the air filter housing. I poked around and tried to see if I could remove the snorkel by moving both boxes out a little.
I guess my next dilemma is; does the 2011 have a real wheel well?? I see a plastic shroud around the top of the tire from the outside but I still see engine and headers. On the inside it feels like there is a rubber curtain behind the air box. Is there really no other metal on the inside of the bay?
Maybe I'll get out the digital camera this weekend and start a write up on a ram air kit with flexible tubing. Looks like there is TONS of room in front of the engine and radiator.
Walt.
