Oh, I don't know about the actual unit. Sadly, audio/video is not my area of specialty.

I was just giving you similarly priced alternatives. :D

What do you mean 'powerwise'? I have no experience with the unit either, but maybe I can help some how...

From one of the sites above:

The DDX-6019 in-dash AM/FM/CD/DVD player features a built-in amplifier with 22 watts RMS (50 watts Peak) on all four channels.

Maybe he's asking if it's better than stock? Are you going to run this with the stock system, or you going aftermarket? Just a guess here, but if you're going aftermarket, it'd probably be better to also run a separate amp.

it's fine then. kenwood is a reliable headunit. eventhough ive never used that model. Since you basically just want a better than stock system (ie: new head unit). I'd say buy it and swap out your factory speakers. will sound much better.

If you are upgrading the speakers, as well, find speakers with an rms wattage rating around 22 watts if you are only using the headunit for power. 50 watts rms would be the max I'd recommend for the speakers in this case. If you go higher than that, get an external amplifier to power them.

While we're at it, do any of you guys know how many watts the stock system puts out?

Not a clue...I've tried looking this up in the past but had no luck. I'll let you know if I ever come across it though.
