I noticed how you did the running boards would have been easier if you did it from underneath they come apart easy

you know i tried doing it from underneath but i was having a helluva time w/ it. popped the lenses & it only took me 5 to replace 'em all...go figure!

I've done this a few times, but you can get the door panel off in about 10 minutes and it really isn't too much work. Screw in the courtesy light recess, screw behind the triangle trim piece, take the small trim off the interior door handle, unplug window button panel, and unplug mirror switch if working on the drivers side. Then it just lifts off.

I would still totally understand waiting for warmer weather haha, just wanted to show its not too bad of a project. I have replaced my window regulator in the cold before and it wasn't too bad.

Here is a video in case I missed something: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yfhiMdKDjY

great minds think a like. i watched that exact video last night. i think if i go this route, i will replace the window & door lock lights w/ LEDs. by any chance do you happen to know what part # that would be? thanks in advance!

yeah, when i saw the video last night, it didn't seem hard to do, but i'm always looking for a simpler way of doing it if i can. the bulbs i was referring to, are the 1s that illluminate the windows switches & door lock on the inside door handle. i guess i can always Google it.

i'm assuming they don't offer the dome lights (PC579...in between driver & passenger side) in an LED bulb? i guess one would have to cut & then rewire some LEDs themselves?

I don't think they do. I remember seeing a member that had done it to their door switches, and they needed to drill and wire themselves. I can't remember who it was off the top of my head, but as soon as I think of it or come across the album, I will post it up here.

He outlined his whole process with pictures and text.

Finally

...the weather cooperated & i was able to tackle my Driver's side courtesy door light issue. after about 30 min & a pair of small flat nose pliers i was able to get the get to the bulb & socket, swapped out the old bulb for the new LED bulb. here's the final product.
