Hi guys. Have a problem. We have an 08 limited expedition with the heated and cooled seats. We had to take out the passenger seat to install my dads seat that lifts him into the vehicle. As soon as we took out the passenger seat the drivers seat heat/ac quit working. Also the airbag light is on. The people that installed the seat put in a resistor that is supposed to fool the airbag system into thinking everything's ok. Well that didn't work either. So an idea or fixes that I can do to get the seat on drivers side to function and maybe something on the airbags? I appreciate it very much.

If you removed the passenger seat then you removed the climate control seat module that is mounted underneath it, which explains why it doesnt work.

yes the main module that controls both seats is under the passenger seat but each seat also has a separate module under it

very carefully since I can't see how it is mounted under the seat you should be able to get an idea when your looking at it

Not sure how you are going to just pull the module without taking the entire wring harness out too.

See photo
( circle shows module, arrow points to where its normally mounted )

Have attached wiring prints for the seats prints are for a 2007 model but should be the same for the 2008 model. Hopefully these will give you an idea as to what needs to be disconnected and what needs to be reconnected

since you pulled the passenger seat back in November kindly provide an up date as to what all you have done since As you haven't given any up dates as to if you re-installed the seat or replaced the modules In other words need more info as to what you have or haven't done

Same problem, tried swapping all components from the passenger side to the driver side, and could not get it to work. There is a TSB out there to reprogram the controller that I need to get done by the Dealer, I'll let you know if it works.
