And it makes me want to cry. I f'n love this truck!
I haven't noticed it myself, which surprises me because I drive like a little old lady and know every squeak, squeal and clunk it makes. I'll take her out tomorrow and see.
It got me thinking about the next vehicle I'll eventually get, but I don't want another vehicle. I've only owned her since '11, but she's apart of the family. I get an ORV pass and take the family out on the beach. I live a half mile out at the end of a dirt road and she loves it! Snow? Rain? She eats it up! Hell, she could drive over a herd of zombies while 7+ people sat comfortably inside. Plus I don't have to worry about emissions.
I really don't want any other truck :(

I'd get it back before they do anything else. A slipping trans isn't something you don't notice.

Yeah, I have to check it tomorrow. It's my father in laws shop and my wife drove it home. She didn't notice it. Probably happened when the tech floored it while testing it. I hate it when they do that. Just about every mechanic I've ever known does that. I rarely push my vehicles hard. I tend to take a while getting to speed and I baby it up steep hills and over rough terrain.

Check your trans fluid level and make sure it doesn't smell burnt when you get it back.

There is an ODB-II code for a slipping transmission. The computer would notice and report via code/CEL...

...right???

Sometimes, sometimes not. I have notice the transmission slip since I got the truck back, but (knock on wood), it hasn't happened since the week before last. I've let to have a code flash for it. Which doesn't really surprise me.
