Rough idle

Hello everybody,

I have 2003 5.4 4x4. I am having an issue while idling and under acceleration. No engine light, and very loud while running. It sounds like a exhaust leak, donut gasket, manifold ? Or could it be iginition problem? I noticed what sounded like an ticking sound and then it felt like I blew a tire. That's when the problem started. I'm more at home with my old pushrod motors, thanks for the help.

Now the check engine light came on when i worked up the courage to drive her home. I smelled a lot of fuel and had little power at all. Coils?

Get the codes read first. Don't drive it much or the raw gasoline will take out the cats.
