Hello everybody,
Not sure were to post this question. Before I PCS'd to Italy I decided to covert the Expy to HID (low, highs and the driving lights). I only had time to do the low's and driving light before I had to ship the Expy. Once here I finally had time to install the high beams, the install went smooth as it did before. Here is the problem, after I installed the hight beams I noticed that the hi beam indicator on the instrument cluster had a slight glow to it. Also most of the time the driving lights will not come back on when you use the high beams. I have to manually turn them off and back on for then to turn back on. I thought when you have a slight glow on one of your lights indicator in the cluster (blinkers and lights) it meant that that light has a bad bulb. Do the HID's draw less voltage that makes the Expy think that the bulb is bad?

One more thing, I would like to do the hi-beam and driving lights mod. Where the driving lights stay on even when you turn on your hi beams, has any one done this mod on an 03 and higher. Instructions would be appreciated.

Here are a few pics of the HID's;

Any info would be great. Thanks in advance.

It's funny, since the fix to the high beam thing is the fog light mod.

Here is how to do it on an 04-08 F150. The Expy should be very similar.

On a side note, I tried putting HIDs in the high beams, but it ended up not being much brighter than the halogens I had in there. Must be because the high beam doesn't really focus the light much, so it just goes everywhere. Plus, unless I drive very late in the night, the amount of cars I would encounter would have me turning the highs on and off, which would have shortened the life of the bulbs.
