I just picked up another 17 Expy Plat. What is the current consensus on replacement high/low beam bulbs for projectors that wont break the bank and don't require install mods? My F350 has LEDs so I got used to the nice bright lights...
I was on here a couple of years ago with a totaled EL that I Rebuilt. This one is just a real clean stock setup. I'm probably not going to do much more than a few basic mods.

Handsome rig. What do you think of those 22’s?
Thanks. I love them. They take alot of the body roll out in the corners and when your towing. I had the same ones on my last 17.

Im not sure what you consider breaking the bank, but I just picked up my 3rd expedition (2016 Limited) and I’m going to put these is. I had these in my 2010 EB and I also have one in my motorcycle for over 5 yrs now.

I can appreciate that, the only thing I can say is it’s probably a one time buy and there’s 4 bulbs.
Oh, that was all four. I guess that makes a little more sense. I ordered a set yesterday that were still pretty expensive. We'll see how they work. This is one of a few vehicles I own so I'm not looking to go all out for this one.

I did a HID conversion on the cheap years back for my 2017 Limited and they have worked out quite well in the projector housing that these come with. I just did these for the low beams due to the ballast and used cheap LEDs for the high beams since they were compact and I really don't use them that much.

I installed Sealight LEDs in our 2016 Expedition a couple months ago and they worked great. I had to purchase larger/deeper dust covers. But they were relatively inexpensive from Amazon.

I bought them during a Black Friday sale, so the total for the set of 4 was only $54.

HID LEDs are now available for under $100 a set and they are almost as good as true HIDs, the main benefit being no warmup time and no restrike issues (although that's not really an issue either anymore). The color is also excellent, no gross 6000K+ BS.
