2005 Exp and the rear wiper will not work. No big deal I can live without it. Its just that if someone trys to use the rear wiper, the motor moves the blade a little and does not go back to the rest position. The motor then seems to stay on and drian the battery.

Is there any easy way to disable the motor by itself?

Yea, I stopped using mine a long time ago because it never fully completed the wiping cycle by itself. You have to keep on nudging it along by going from 0 to 1 until it goes back then flip to to 0 before it starts again.

I need to find a plug so I can just unplug the motor and take off the arm, but still keep the glass handle. It should clean things up in the back.

I'll post instructions on how to access the motor tomorrow. :)

Hey Elvato. Did you ever find the info on the rear wiper? Interested in the same project. Thanks.

Going to be busy most of today. Might post instructions later today. As far as the plug goes, I still haven't gotten around to that.

YOU HAVE TO ADJUST THE ARM FOR THE WIPER AND MAKE SURE ITS IN THE MOTOR CONNECTION. I HAD MY BACK GLASS REPLACED AND I TOLD THE INSTALLER ABOUT "OUR" PROBLEM AND HE SHIWED ME HOW TO ADJUST IT. I KNOW I DONT HAVE THE BEST DESCRIPTION TERS BUT HERES SOME PICS

I know this threads a little old but I just got done jumping and charging my expy's battery for the third time in 6 months from the rear wiper draining my battery. The little red blinky-thingy-ma-jig was glowing constant and dim until I removed the second fuse that disables the rear wiper, not the first one that disables the radio and accessory/run mode too, and sure enough the anti-theft thing was glowing Bright red. So that means it was the wiper eating up the battery.

I don't think the post above this, by WHOISMOOTOO, quite explained anything but does anyone know how to fix this issue, not just unplugging it?

Well i never had this problem of the wiper not fully going back to the rest positon but my motor went out completly. I bought a new motor for like 50$ off ebay, took the tailgate panel off and installed new motor. Everything worked right away as it should and its still working fine, never had to adjust anything.
