Your truck looks great! I went the other way and added chrome to mine. I added the chrome strip on the third row window and the bling around the LED tail lights.
The only chrome trim pieces left on this truck are the door pulls and that lower front bumper piece. I actually like the lower front bumper piece. But I'm considering blacking out the door pulls.

I'm talking about the liftgate glass. I used to just let it drop. Now, I lower it and then push on the handle under the wiper blade until it clicks. That way I don't stress the glass.Eh??? It has controls back there???
I just use the remote on the keys.
Okay, I guess that's the purpose of using PlasticDip so you can remove it if you don't like it. Wasn't it originally designed for tool handles?Plastidip is great but like stated above you need to prep correctly and if you don't do enough coats it'll be very tough to peel in the future. If enough coats are applied it typically peels in 1 piece if not then you stuck pulling little pieces at a time.
I believe it was. Pretty sure the original can label showed tool handles covered in itOkay, I guess that's the purpose of using PlasticDip so you can remove it if you don't like it. Wasn't it originally designed for tool handles?

Thanks Nick, It took a while for the white to grow on me. It sure is pretty when the sun is shining on it. It has that Platinum Metallic paint with the metal flakes in it but you stop noticing it when you get about 3 feet away. Thanks, Andy. When I was shopping for this thing the other rig I was considering was like yours. The white looks fantastic. I've only had white trucks until this one. It's been kind of a wake up call. While I do like the looks of a black truck, holy smokes is it a bear to keep clean. You hear that all the time but I guess I was hoping it wasn't so true.
As for the chrome you added, I think it looks outstanding. With the white paint, I think it's a perfect compliment. The whole rig looks real sharp, man.

Nick, No I've been using this car wash for about 8 years now. I've never had any problems with it. It is a brushed wash. It has the things that spin around and the long things that go back and forth. I noticed that they spray a lot of water on them and keep them clean and wet. I have had the truck since February and knock on wood. I have no scratches on it. This company is called Mike's Car Wash and they are in 3 or 4 surround states. They do a good job.I've been thinking about getting a monthly pass. Unlimited washes sounds like just the ticket.
Do you have any concerns about brushes or abrasion issues? Or is it a touchless wash?

Yes, exactly right. The cans still show tool handles on them.
You got that right! I'm way to hard with my tools for plastidip to ever have a chanceBut for anyone who knows plastidip, that's a bad joke...first edge or fingernail comes in contact with it and itll peel up
How would you feel about reporting back with the results of your project? Looks like we both have the Black with the appearance package — I also want to black-out that chrome trim. I was thinking of doing a vinyl wrap over it if I can’t find a used one to paint.
