I stand corrected. I just looked a one of the original pictures I took of my Expedition when I had it out for the test drive and it has a sticker on it. I forgot about that.Must've washed off, eh?

It's says "the button is right here dummy"My 2015 Expedition Limited (ordered / purchased new) did not have that decal. What does it say? Thank you.
I’m going to paint it completely

I used Rustoleum Peel Coat in Graphite to paint mine. It's not as dark as the factory magnetic-painted strip, but the difference isn't as noticeable in person as in pictures.
Took less than half a day to get this and my grille off the truck, prepped and painted, and put back on. I chose this specifically because it sticks to chrome without any special prep work required. Downside is you aren't supposed to leave it on for more than 3 months.
What happens after 3 months?I chose this specifically because it sticks to chrome without any special prep work required. Downside is you aren't supposed to leave it on for more than 3 months.
Okay, I had never heard of that before. It seems like when you paint something you want it to stay painted. They don't actually say what happens, but I am guessing it loses its ability to be peeled off easily. This was an easy way to see how it looked without doing a permanent job. When I hit the 3-month mark I'm going to peel it off and then redo it differently.
That looks nice. Does plasticdip peel off as well?Yeah, did mine with PlastiDip.
I don't slam it. I used to do that, but now I just close it by hand and press the handle on the glass under the wiper arm until it clicks. It nice and easy on my nerves and the glass.![]()

Looks awesome Moss! I assume you access the screws from the inside? Any tips?
I didn't remove anything, Vinnie. Just careful masking with blue painters tape and paint masking paper from Home Depot.
Plastidip all the things!Even better! Did you do the chrome strip on the lower front bumper too?
