4 month lead time?

I ordered a Limited loaded with 4wd and trailer package in mid February. Ford just scheduled production for my truck today. Delivery date is June 24!!

4mo lead time? Yep. Mine just moved from production to awaiting shipment! Deposit placed Jan 11, order accepted Jan 22. Delivery date on COTUS is May 6. I think the lead time is significantly shorter if you can do without either the 22" wheels or the 3.73 rear axle...

So Benyl, if people getting VINs are now getting delivery dates like Jun 24, I guess we're going to be later than that? My summer camping plans are vaporizing before my eyes.

Ordered Feb 2nd, still no VIN. Last message from dealer was that it was delayed and we should expect beginning of May. Somehow I think that's not possible anymore...

If a customer orders a new vehicle through a dealer (sold unit) - does Ford move those orders ahead of a “stock unit” ordered by a dealer, but not sold and intended to be held in stock?

^^^ I asked my dealer when they screwed my order up. All they said was they could ask to put a priority on it, but since everyone is doing that, it doesn't help.

Hopefully there's no other delays in production (perhaps fixing the recalls is adding some delay, not sure). Do your part - recycle your beer and pop cans! Can't have them running out of aluminum...

I ordered a loaded Limited, (4 wheel drive, Heavy Duty Trailer Tow, 22"wheels) in White Platinum on Feb 6th, currently in transit, scheduled delivery April 21st. My dealer input the order as I sat next to their representative and commented that the order was within their allocation. The order was shown on Ford's order tracking site in order processing on March 27th. Ford is offering incentives on XLT's which is double the Limited or Platinum Models. The XLT's have less common components with Navigators then the Limited or Platinum Expy models. I imagine there are supplier capacity limitations on supply on some Expy and Nav common components. The Navigator is selling at rates more than double past years sales rates. Navigators come standard with the 3.73 differential. I think that is causing extra lead time for Expy Heavy Duty Trailer Tow. My dealer commented that the Expy 22"rims where in short supply earlier in the year, not sure about now. Navigator sales are far exceeding former sales forecast. Profit margins on Navigator are likely higher than Expeditions. Ford has to balance the opportunity to earn more profit by directing limited supply parts to Navigators while keeping Expy customers happy.

Ordered Max Feb 9, delivery to dealer right now say April 9-15. But, I’m traveling on vacation so the dealer may have a more specific date that I don’t know about.

Ordered Feb 23rd. Just got VIN# April 13th. Scheduled to be built the week of April 23rd. Ford Vehicle Visibility System is showing the arrival between May 7th - 13th. Silver Ingot Platinum with bench.

Just out of curiosity, how is everyone receiving their VIN? Are you polling the COTUS website until it shows up, or is your dealer contacting you with the VIN?
Still waiting for my VIN - ordered Feb 2, XLT/202A, HD Trailer Tow, Nav, Driver Assist - and apparently 4 US Gallons of GAS!
