They cover the door sills so when they drain water it doesn’t go under your carpet. Not everything is gonna be perfect
I understand the function, just a complaint on the fashion... I am being a bit nit picky.

I called weathertech and on the Navi you gotta trim out the area around the front console. According to the customer service rep this wasn’t on the website nor is the dotted line you are supposed to cut on integrated on the first run production mats. So I measured and cut and it fits like a glove. I’ll keep the 2nd, 3rd and bsr cargo in and swap out the fronts as needed. Totally happy with the kid proofing.

Meh I get it though, the expy and Navi 2nd row are 98% the same so it’s gotta be a lot cheaper to make one to fit both. That and I’d be willing to bet they will sell far more for the expy which fits over the Navigator which you got to cut. It was only a 2.5x6 inch section, not major surgery by any stretch.

It’s a first run product that is being introduced for a brand new vehicle, there’s bound to be minor things overlooked in the manuals. Take the 3rd gen refresh... tons of things overlooked, like your intelligent access key supposedly opening the tailgate by just pressing the button on the handle without having to first pull the key out of your pocket and unlock it. :emotions33:

Just got the bsr cargo mat put in and I’m completely pleased. I wasn’t sure about the bumper protector thing but it was the only option when I ordered, it looks pretty function and I do have to lean against the bumper when removing the BoB stroller and during diaper changes so I’ll use it and see what I think. If I don’t care for it it’s easily removable via 4 snaps.

Does anyone have experience with the Canvasback liners?

https://www.canvasback.com/index.php/ford-expedition-cargo-liners-2018.html

I've got the short Expy and am looking for something that will cover the back of the third row seats when folded down but that I don't have to remove every time I use those seats. This seems to fit pretty well and also allows access to the storage tray behind the third row. I believe it sticks to the carpet using velcro; I just wonder how well it stays in place.

With weathertech, I'd need to get the bigger version that goes behind the 2nd row, and then remove it when I have the third row folded up, which doesn't sound appealing to me.
