'Fart' noise when accelerating

Good evening,

This is very difficult to describe, but my 07 Expy makes a 'fart' noise when it hits 30 mph. It's always right around 30 mph. It sounds like it's coming from the rear. I'll try and record a video of it but it only happens when I'm going up a hill.

Possibly a suspension creak when rear end squats?

Do you feel a slight rumble in the seat when it happens? Do you also eat lots of vegetables or cheese? Does the wife roll the windows down shortly after hearing this noise? Sorry, I couldn't help myself...

But for real, is there any 'feel' in the steering wheel when you hear the noise?

There you go Bob, blame it on the dog! Maybe someone put broccoli instead of sugar in his gas tank. Cruciferious vegetables do it every time. This is going to be a long and silly column. Maybe somebody knows what's really his issue.

I heard it. It sounds like a soft air bleed-off. I have no idea what it may be. Its right at 0:05.

And it does sorta sound like a fart.

My work truck made a noise like that after the windshield was replaced. Turns out they missed a spot while sealing it up and at the right speed it would make a clown horn noise.

You didn't say if you had air suspension. Could be a leaky air line, or the air spring itself. That would make a farting sound. Sorta like a balloon that your letting the air out of. Get a spray bottle and spray the line, connection, and air spring itself. I'm betting one of them is leaking, real common on bags over 8 years old.

It only happens under load (ie: hill) and between 25-30 mph. It sounds like it’s coming from the rear.

The previous owner converted it from air spring to coil.

Don't know about all ya'll Yankees, but down here in the South, our farts have a "manly" sound to them. More like a "roar". Followed by all the windows being rolled down. Not a quiff female fart as in the video.

It's because of those collard greens and fried chicken you guys shovel down. Sounds like a big block Ford, with 2 chamber Flowmasters at 7 grand!
