I have not removed only the grill, but I have removed the entire front bumper cover assembly. I'd imagine you'd probably have to do the same to get the grill out easily enough with breaking tabs.

There's a screw beneath the Ford emblem, use a flashlight, it's there. From memory, I believe it and the three on the left and right inside the fenders are also 10mm.

So you have to unscrew the bottom four 5.5mm screws holding the fender liners as well as the pop plug closest to the bottom. Then pullback on the fender liner so you can get a mini ratchet, with a swivel joint and get after the three screws. Repeat for other side. Then gently pry the left side away from fender, until you see the junction box for the lights inside the left corner. Pull the lever back, and separate the connectors. This thing was TIGHT to pull apart. An extra set of hands holding onto the bumper cover while you reach in there to disconnect will be helpful.

You might be able to see some of what I'm saying from the instructions I posted pics of, for installation of my push bumper...

Here's a few pics of the right side. I should have taken more photos.
When you look at the front right corner, by the right headlight, you will see one round hole. That is one of the three screw locations on each side that secure the cover to the fender. If you consider that screw location as orientated horizontally, the other two are vertically located along the bottom of the fender, about 3 inches apart.
Once you get the inner fenders liner pulled back, you can shine a light in there, and see the first one, and the one by the headlight. The second vertical screw, you might be able to see it, but really you can use your socket to find it by feel, and unscrew it. 1/4" ratchet and 6"-9" extension, and a swivel wil help getting the one out by the headlight the other two the swivel/knuckle might help, but only a 3" extension, not much room in there.

Sounds like a real PITA. Would never have thought of a screw beneath the emblem, though I do know there's a camera there. Thanks a bunch; I'll be prepared to get my hands cut up a little.....

It's really not too bad, as long as you can remain patient, and have ample time. Take your time, if my ******* can do it, without breaking/scratching anything, anybody can imo.

The only time I would be sure to have assistance is pulling the cover off, after all screws are removed, and putting it back on, because as the President sez......it's HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE. One person who does this for a living, can probably do it no sweat, but those of us cheap enough to attempt what most would strongly suggest a pro should tackle, would be nut punched, if we failed to have an extra set of hands for the 30 seconds to pull off, and 30 seconds to place back on the vehicle.

So, my 2019 XLT Max slid down my daughter's snowy drive into her garage doors, damaging the upper bumper cover. The driver's side upper corner popped out and now sticks out almost a quarter inch. I started taking the fender liner off to get to it, removing the three 5.5mm screws and the pop plug, but hen couldn't get any further. The albums previously posted are empty. Any ideas?IMG_20200101_171638[1].jpg

The brown stuff is paint from the garage door which rubs off okay. But you can see the upper corner sticking out. How do I fix that? I went to the dealer's collision center and they made it sound like no big deal. Ideas?

I'm also interested in this; the bumper removal part. From the description, it doesn't sound too bad, but the pictures by the OP 5150 pops have gone (they haven't posted in quite a while, so may not be monitoring the forum).

I have had moderate success (on a different vehicle) using a hair dryer to gently heat the bumper from the inside and gently bend it back to shape. It is not perfect, but it may, at least remove any obvious defects. Of course, this will need the bumper (cover?) removing.
