I have a 2019 Expedition and my Samsung Note 9 keeps disconnecting and reconnecting at least 3 times within 2o min intervals. Has anyone experienced this? The dealer doesn't seem to have a clue.

If its cable not blue-tooth then I had to try 4 different cables until I got one that didn't do that. Even though they all felt tight there must have been enough wiggle due to vibrations to disconnect.

The one I have now is one of the cheaper types but no issues now with disconnecting.

Mines does this via bt connection randomly and in intervals like u described. It doesnt do it often but when it does it doesn't stop. No answers from multiple dealerships. I either do the master reset or change to usb drive(which sometimes disconnects as well). I dnt use android auto becuz i hate the look of wires and i prefer the sync over my phone

This is a pretty common problem (mentioned many times on various threads) but it is typically with Apple CarPlay...I think this is the first time I have seen it with regard to an Android.

I'm having this same issue in my 2018 with my Pixel 3. I've bought 3 different 'top of the line' cables, and the issue continues. I've cleaned the usb-c connector on my phone and same issue.

This is driving me crazy...I may end up RMA'ing my phone.

Has anyone heard anything about Ford enabling Android Auto Wireless on Sync3? I don't think it is currently supported, but it seems like this might just be a software update for those of us who have the Wifi Hotspot in our trucks.

Android Auto on your car display (wireless)
1. Prepare your phone and car

  1. Make sure your phone meets the minimum requirements.
  2. Confirm that your car is compatible with Android Auto Wireless and that Android Auto is turned on in your car's settings. If you're not sure, contact your local car dealer.
  3. Ensure your phone has a strong and fast cellular data connection.
2. Connect your phone
The first time you connect your phone to the car, you have to use a USB cable. Turn on your car. Make sure it's in park (P) and that you have time to set up Android Auto.
  1. Unlock your phone's screen.
  2. Connect your phone to your car using a USB cable.
  3. Your phone might ask you to download or update certain apps, like Google Maps.
  4. Review the Safety Information and Android Auto permissions to access your apps.
  5. Turn on notifications for Android Auto. For the best experience, we recommend accepting all requests.
Your phone’s Bluetooth will be turned on automatically when Android Auto is connected to the car via USB.

3. Start Android Auto
On your car display, select Android Auto7qB7DUMaQzOYv5IkJzQUFYkWDbcHRfJ1JYub.png. Wireless connection might take a few seconds to start.

Drive safely! Make sure to stay fully aware of the road and driving conditions, and always obey applicable laws

When I picked up my car with 122miles driving back, I did experience one time my S8 kept getting disconnects. Once I get to my stop restart the engine, I haven't seen it happening again.
