I want to crank my front torsion bars and maybe get a 2 or 3 inch spacer for the back. Whats the biggest tire i can run with that setup and will my front end sit up higher than the rear?

my front is cranked. waiting to get a job so i can get the rear spacers and im wondering the same. im going with 305s of some sort. or about 35s. idc if they rub. ill buy fiberglass fenders. but i know 285s wont rub or will very little with no lift so im guessing 305s will not rub with 2" of lift. and no it wont sit higher. my front end dose a little cause its only cranked.

yeah I think the 285/70-17 is the biggest I can run. I want to fit at least a 33 under it maybe bigger if I can. and I wouldnt want to have to trim anything. If I cant do that then there is no point in spending the money

With my torsion bars turned and 2" Daystars I ran 305,s on a 16x10 with minor trimming.

Depending on how much you want to spend. I re-read your post and see you do not want to do any trimming. You WILL rub with 305,s on 16" wheels and without a doubt on 17,s with not trimming.

Is kind of your preference on how you want it to look and how much you want to spend. If you just want to add spacers and no trimming, I would go with 295,s tops on 17,s.

ida what I was thinking. Now if I crank my torsion bar, how much of a spacer do I need in the back for it to sit level?

I went with 2" spacers. Just depends on how much you crank the torsion bars of course. Some can get 2.5" out of the TB and I got 2". A tape measure is all you need to check.

With the torsion bars turned and spacers in the rear, yes, 2". But I also have a 3" BL.
This can be done in your driveway in 10 minutes if you have the tools.

well, what i'm gonna be doing in a couple of weeks is installing a 3" body lift, cranking up the torsion bars as much as possible and getting 3" coil spacers for the back... my hopes are to get 35's under her. can't wait!

you are not going to get 37s on with tt/spacers and 3 inch body lift, you might get 36s as long as you dont stick out of the well, 36s or bigger you will be crushing your wheel wells, any thing more than 35s are not recomended, not to mention gearing and and all other suspension components will wear much faster

agreed. if you want 37's, you will have to do some serious trimming to make them fit.
35's will fit perfect in there. if you want 37's, save your money up for 6" susp lift, then do body lift and spacers. dont want you to waste money on tires.

How can you tell if your truck has stock Torsion keys or aftermarket? Mine sits pretty high and level already. Looks much higher than most. I have 265 BFG AT's. May just have the bars twisted before I bought it.
