The last time I was part of a vehicle forum was about 6 yrs ago. They had yearly meets based on region.

Are there ever Expedition meets? Am I looking in the wrong section of the forum?

Currently not that I know of, a lot of the Ford forums used to do meets and such. I know Ford Truck Enthusiasts and F-150 Forum used to do meetups and towing hill pull contests etc. Both of those websites seems though they stopped doing it after the 2009 or 2010 timeframe because people stopped showing up and participating. Looks like at its peak a great time in the mid 2000s. It seems people stay at home and watch TV these days. The same thing has happened to boating groups and off road ATV clubs/groups I’ve been involved in. People just don’t do this stuff anymore.

I just found the regional threads. I'm in the southeast in Central Florida. Seems like we have some members down there.

I'll check out the regionals!

I drove past a Jeep meet the other day and it got me thinking the same thing... Its been too long since the last meet I've attended

I think it’s great to do meetups for enthusiasts. I’m in my early twenties and I mainly do boating and side by sides with my free time. Also enjoy camping. Most of my friends don’t share these interests and do video games or just party and get sh*t faced. I have no interest in either of those, I’ll party occasionally but too much is blah. Outdoor activities and clubs are a dying thing near me. I meet virtually no other boat owners in my age group who share the passion, it’s mostly old timers but I enjoy their company and learn a lot. Same thing has happened with 4 wheeler and side by side communities, most of the young guys gone and old timers too. Most have went away with a few old guys remaining. The snowmobile clubs and general community still kick strong as an exception here. Always like to see them out when it snows.

Automotive meets have been a dieing art in north America since Facebook and other social media sites are on... everyone's trying to be the next biggest sensation.

My old car club lasted till 2014 but then most have gotten married. Plus being a trucker, I'm rarely anywhere.

I just checked and the regionals are dead.

I'm in the same boat (budumbum) I turn 27 on Thanksgiving this year. I don't own a real boat, but kayak a lot. I travel a lot and have recently started doing small upgrades to the expy

Thought it would be super neat to join a meet. I've been a part of two (a long time ago), but my wife has never attended one.

It'd be fun, but, maybe the expedition community isn't likely odds

Thanks for mentioning Facebook. Mine was deleted for a while before I started looking for used parts on marketplace. I will check out the groups, there is a Ford expedition club with 19k members... Maybe they have events

A lot to learn from the old time boaters. I got mine when I was 28 and it’s been quite the learning experience. Ditto for ATVs. Nothing like experience when it comes to those toys.

Most of the meets I see anymore are hotrods, classics, collectibles, or highly modified like big lifted trucks.
Not a lot for regular fairly stock vehicles.
I can see why but is can be nice to have get togethers among people on forums that talk to each other regularly.
I remember one forum had meetings at a Golden Corral to meet in person and converse.
I don't even think it was a auto forum.
