Here I am - Hello from Germany

Hi guys,

I have been reading the forum for quite some time, so it is up to me now to introduce my self I guess ...

My name is Lutz and I do live close to Mainz, which is in western Germany, not far away from Frankfurt or Wiesbaden.

I drive a 2007 Ford Expedition Limited 4x4 which I had imported from the US in mid 2009 (from a Ford dealer in Wisconsin). Expeditions are quite rare in Germany, as they are not sold by Ford here. So the only chance is to import them yourself, pay a heavy tariff to the German taxman and of course do some changes to the car (mainly the rear lights) in order to apply German legal requirements. But it works if you really want to do it - and I wanted . However, thanks to the quite big US (army) community in Wiesbaden there exist a number of those wonderful cars around here and we even have, quite unusual for Germany, a Ford dealer who actually is able to service the car.

Well, Wurzburg is not that far away from where I live (1h30 on the motorway), my wife went to university in Wurzburg - but it was in the early 1990s - (and I already knew her at that time), so I do know the town quite well, great place

I'm driving a expy here at Curacao, in Holland I can't pay al the taxes and gas
