Kinda shocking that the Navi (at the very least) doesn’t have soft close door option.

Looks like there are lots of aftermarket options available. Anyone have any experience with them?

I noticed The Continental has them when i was looking at one. Tell you the truth, i don't even want them for myself, just like i dislike the power running boards.

My Dad's RR sport has had a couple of mandatory recalls due to the door closers. Those letters came with statements like the door could open while driving. Not sure I would want an aftermarket parts for such an important job. But this is the first time I'm hearing of them so what do I know?

The Aviator has them too... Next refresh possibly?

I actually was not paying attention one time closing A bmw door with soft close doors. All I can say is I hate them. Hurt like hell and they would not open. Lol

My house cabinet doors have them, and they are all slowly wearing out, so now its money time to fix them all.

Yes was not paying attention when the door was closing slowly. I turned to open it but it locked. The Fingers sticking the door. I could only imagine A child’s fingers in there. Mine were badly cut and bruised . Lol now granted it was A 2015 x5 m so hopefully soft close doors have changed things

My pops had this on the trunk of his '84ish Cadillac Elegante! Heck, that thing even had an "econominder" that would switch between v4 v6 and v8!
