My 03' EXPY rattles overhead when driven on not so smooth pavement. It is one of those annoying ones that gets uder your skin. I do have the DVD mount overhead, is this common with these installed. I can actually tap the headliner in areas and get a second rattle, like something is loose up there. Anyone else having this problem?

If its under warranty I would definetly take it to the dealer for repair. Nothing worse than a rattle to rattle your cage.

The dealer wanted it for a whole day to drop the headliner. They also were saying that if the problem was due to the after market overhead DVD player that there would be a (significant)charge for labor. We bought it at CARMAX so we do not know which dealer it was bought at, or even if the DVD was dealer installed. Is there a way to find out were it was purchased? And if so, will they tell me if the DVD was dealer installed? I am long past my 30 day warranty with CARMAX. Anyone dropped their headliner lately?

To my understanding, if Dealership A installs an aftermarket (non factory) item onto a vehicle and sells it as new, only Dealership A can make repairs to it and still be under warranty.

If you take it to Dealership B, they'll say to take it back to Dealership A if you want the repair covered under warranty, otherwise Dealership B will charge.

Now, finding out from CARMAX which dealership it came from, that might be tricky.

If you had and aftermarket dvd player installed, either they forgot to secure the wiring in the headliner that runs to the fm modulater by the radio or the velco hooks have came a loose that holds the wire to keep it from rattlin.
