Man taking a whole 2” in the rear?!? Lol

First the front end. I took a look some time back and noticed the torsion key bolts and at 2 different levels. One looks almost cranked all the way up and the other most of the way down.
Thoughts?

The rear. Is there a shock rubber isolator at the top of the spring? Can I just stack a few of these to get the 2” in the rear?
I did this on my Cherokee on top of a 2” spacer and it wasn’t a problem.

has this truck been wheeling, you may want to replace the torsion bars, as soon as weather gets warmer, both mine are getting yanked, and new ones put in, worried that one will snap on trail, with no way to get it home, and i was able to tweek my keys up, but have the 3 inch lift keys, want to get them on any way, so new keys and tbs, and a new torch to get them out

No It has never been wheeled "YET"! I went to the junk yard today for rotors and came across a 2002 expedition. There were to guys pulling the motor. I don’t know how they checked the mileage but they told me it was 57k only. The rotors looked brand new and the same goes for the rest of the rig too. Guess I will head back to see how the torsion bars look.

I don’t know where I came up with isolaters as in the rear spacers? Do the ones for the expedition bolt on place? The spacers I have seen are just poly spacers for top of the spring but what is holding it there?

I would recomend it, esspeicailly if you can get good ones from a junk yard, new are pricey, i didnt have the option of useing a salvage yard, not many expys left in them around here, to change keys you may need to put a torch to it to break from rust bad part is once you heat them you weaken them, thats wear i got screwed, and still didnt get keys off

We are getting a lot of nice newer cars in the junk yards due to the clunker deals.

i think 2003 and newer have the bolt in spacers, mine went under my springs on axle and spring sits down in to it, as far as the torsion key the are the same, you may have a weak torsion bar, or a worn key to have them that far off in threads, i recomend the leveling kit with the keys and spacers, if you go trying to make your own your looking for trouble, use to be easy in the old days to shacle up a car/ truck, or to cram blocks of wood into the springs, but the way every thing is designed now days i wouldnt even think about it

Just trying to get some ideas of how there are sitting on there. I have had spacers on my cherokees and these are pretty clear cut on how they sit but i have yet to see one installed on the rear of a expedition. Couldnt find a photo on line either. I have seen 2 types, one being metal and the other just ploy. I might just cut and fab up something at work.

I've got metal 2 inch spacers on mine. You can see them in this pic. It's the silver shiny thing there under the exhaust pipe and hitch. Not the best pic, but you get the idea. I'll try to find a better up close picture for you.
Same thing as dgray's only metal instead of poly.
