none2017 limited still under 36k. Recommendations for ford warranty
Unless you do all that stuff yourself. I think this has all been hashed over already............With an XLT I would pause, but with a Limited I wouldn't hesitate to get the warranty again. Even if the powertrain remains trouble-free, the electronics won't. Check out the Premium warranty through Lombard: https://www.lombardfordwarrantys.com/ I went through quickly and it quote $889 for the standard options (coverage until 2023 w/ $100 deductible). You will get your money's worth the first time a running board fails.

I am seeing success stories but nobody is manning up to all the money they lost on paying the warranty, they just shut up.
This is guidance. If bought that insurance on every new car (and used .....50+- total) I bought I would be out many many thousands of dollars right now.I paid $700 for my CPO w/ warranty + $200 in deductibles ($100 x2) = $900. I received 4 new Pirelli Scorpions and over $16K worth of parts/labor from Ford (let's call it $8K value because we know they charge absurd prices). The Scoprions w/ mount and balance alone were nearly worth what I paid OOP. I have rejected extended warranties on everything I have ever purchased except this truck before and since, but glad I opted for one in this case. And I would do it again for a vehicle with all the electronics at the same/similar cost for the warranty.
We know you disagree and the OP didn't ask if he should or shouldn't get a warranty. He asked for guidance on which he should get.

They know all that and adjust prices accordingly, it's not a charity outfit. If I got a warranty on the last 5 vehicles I bought I would still be out many thousands. The people that spend tons on warranties for nothing are being awful quiet out there......lol.We're not talking about every car. We're talking about a specific vehicle for which parts alone can easily exceed $900 in a 64K mile span. It's not 1970 anymore.
The general consensus is that the warrantees are a bad idea and I totally agree with that. When I bought this truck 6 months ago even the dealer at the car lot said I was smart not to get one..........they know.Running boards are not part of the Ford extended warranty, JFYI.
I never buy extended warranties on anything I buy. They always ask at check out, and I just say if it's junk, I'll never buy another and I don't need another POS with the same ****** engineering. And I don't.
This is my work truck, and at 66 I am a semi retired cabinetmaker and building contractor. I'm OK with a wrench, but I suck at electronic diagnostics. I'm glad I bought the extended...my first ever.
I think this is correct but perhaps the vehicle is only eligible if the warranty is purchased while still under original factory warranty.Ford PremiumCARE warranty covers "Power Running Boards" under Electrical, at least in Canada.
Right, but it sounds like he is.I think this is correct but perhaps the vehicle is only eligible if the warranty is purchased while still under original factory warranty.
