So yesterday we had a nasty monsoon here in Florida and i had left the fart windows in the back open. The main controls will not change from cool to heat for the rear. When I turn it to hot it just stops blowing in the rear, when I turn it back to cold, it just blows inside air. I tried using the rear controls which did change to heat and blew hot, then back to regular warm air when turned back to cold. I checked the rear inside and can feel real cold air in the vicinity of the blower intake. I also found about an inch of water in the right rear tray inside the fart window. Anyone else make this dumb mistake?

I have a 2015 Expedition Limited 4x4.

What is a fart window?

Get all the water out that you can, and throw a couple damp rids in it.

Good place to start make sure it has dried out good then check fuses and relays associated with the rear A/C.

I agree with drying things to the max...My experience with low voltage electronics is that if you can get them dried out, they will usually function...And then check the fuses...Good luck!...

The only thing that could have gone wrong is the blend door actuator failed or a fuse blew. The actuator motor can be accessed and replaced through the removable tray in the inner quarter panel. The part's about $45. Check your fuses. Give the mess a couple of weeks to dry out. If it still doesn't work, replace the actuator. They're known to fail anyway.

It’s crazy though that manual 2nd row controls work fine. Yesterday front went out and recharged so we will see how today goes. I had to replace blend doors on my 04 which was a pain in the ass.
