Hi guys,
So we have had our 2010 Expedition about three years or so when we got it the AC was ok not perfect but definitely better than it's doing today. So for the past year I have been fighting a ac battle with this thing that Is very very frustrating. So new AC compressor, front and rear expansion valve, all four actuators both front and rear blend door an mode door actuators, new rear evaperator coil, rear and front blower motorsand resistors , 33 oz of refrigerant with the pag 46.
Ok so I started with all the parts I have installed the rear ac blows as it should the front ac blows semi hard but def not hard enough just above a whisper of air the so it doesn't cool in these West Texas temps once it's above 90 degrees, windows are tinted everything I can do I have done when you turn on the ac you can feel it blowing but you hear more air noise than anything I have removed the cowl panel and checked the intake for debris I have pulled the blower motor and even moved the doors by hand when I replaced the actuators no wiring is burnt but air flow is defiantly poor and I have ran the kool it evaperator cleaner as the direction suggested with no change. I have looked up the blower motor to make sure the recirculate door isn't broke and it's operating properly! The loud wind noise inside the dash from the blower motor sounds like a tornado and is very loud but air output of the vents is very poor! The evaperator isn't freezing up and the fan speed increases and decreases as it should with each fan speed.
Any thoughts are appreciated I need this AC to work my 3 year old son has cp and this heat is beating my family up my wife is on the road with physical therapy appointments 3 days a week and I can't figure it out!
