Hello,

I just installed the Ranch Hand Grille guard and it is triggering the center parking sensors. According to Ranch Hand's website, this is not supposed to happen. Have any of you installed this guard on your truck?Did you run into the same issues? Just want to make sure I installed correctly before I call/email Ranch Hand.

My truck is a 2020 Max Limited FX4 and this is the girlle guard:

My guess is there might be an optional relocation kit?

Nothing on their website; it says it's compatible with the front parking sensors, adaptive cruise control and camera.

Looking at different vendors online. They all says it only has a cutout for the front camera. My drop hitch sets of the rear sensors so I bet you would have to move them clear to the front to not set them off.

This are the specs on the site; only reason I bought the grille was because they claim all sensors work; I'll call the company om Monday.

Says retains, not works with or accommodates or they are still useful. You may have fallen for a technicality (also read as sneaky working).

I installed that same grille guard on my 15 Expedition. The is a little play in the mounting before you tighten everything down. What would happen if you rocked it back a bit? It looks like you have a little wiggle room.

The non camera cutout version states it does retain the parking sensors and the only difference between the two is the camera cut out; I think they messed up. Their engineer is supposed to call me on Monday. I'll keep you posted.

Well i have a similar grill guard on my 2014 Expy, same problem, it was triggering the center sensors, however, Ranch Hand does sell Parking sensor covers that you can use on those center sensors, which essentially cancels out the those center sensors so the grill guard doesnt set them off, however the 2 outside sensors still work normally. Works great for me. Here's a link to them

At least that grill guard looks pretty damn sharp on your rig.

I hope to get a ranch hand on mine soon

Tony.
I had to get the sensor covers for the two middle sensors; Ranch Hand sent to me free of charge.

Curious after time has passed, how did this work for you? Did you cover sensors, how has the guard held up? I'm looking to install one on the same model. Thanks

I had this same issue on my 2018 Expedition Max Limited after installing the Ranch Hand Grille Guard. I ended up getting a sensor relocation kit from Westin and some parking sensors from Amazon (the factory sensors would not snap into the relocation brackets.)
Here is a link to the relocation kit: https://www.titantruck.com/i-238837-westin-grille-guard-sensor-relocator-40-0005s.html
And the parking sensors: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BM4FX7WS?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1

You have to drill holes in the grille guard to mount the relocation brackets (pretty simple) and the hole in the bracket for the sensors had to be widened just a little for the plastic sensor retainer to snap in. But this was the best solution I could come up with since I didn't want to lose the functionality of the center sensors. Plus, having the sensors at the front of the grille guard gives you a better idea of how close you are to something.
