I get that there is a recall on just about every for the HD cooling fan issue. Does that include the battery junction box as well or is that a different group?

That's quite an involved procedure. How many hours does it pay the technician?

So, i've been tagged with the recal 22S36 - lovely...

Tried to identify the cooling fan relay, and after removing what i believed to be it, nothing worked - no abs, nothing...no starter... very strange. Never seen that before. almost as if that relay turns on power to everything...so this is much more complex than identifying the cooling fan power, and providing the relay with a 12v source

what the heck can we do as an interim bypass?

Dealer guidelines for submitting claims regarding rentals are...

We can all be hopeful the final Recall repair procedure for Standard Duty Cooling Fan vehicles will be released soon.

Until then, seek a rental if you can express your interpretive qualifications, and have Mobile Service accomplish the Interim battery cable disconnect procedure if you have space to store your vehicle at home until the final Recall repair can be accomplished.

I'm curious now that this news is out what is the position of our auto insurance? I would think that knowingly operating a vehicle that can catch fire at any time and be a total lose after the manufacturer has sent out these notice's. I am thinking one could be in a tough situation regarding collecting on a lose.

How do you know if you have a heavy duty or standard duty cooling fan? Is this heavy duty towing or what?

Perhaps contact your insurance company or agent for the information?
